Public attitudes

The brief for this competition was formulated following an extensive process of discussions and focus groups with artists and curators, cultural and educational institutions, and businesses.

Designers should take into account that the public views this project not only as a reconstruction of the building, but also as the creation of a new cultural identity that simultaneously respects the past, serves the present, and envisions the future of the Centre as a living cultural and creative organism.

Goals

The architectural design of the building is expected to place its users at the centre. We are looking for original conceptual designs that are not an end in themselves, but acknowledge the building as a stage for other forms of art and creativity and create the conditions for their perception and realisation
